About Group Fitness Classes

Held daily, these dynamic fitness classes heats up all the major muscle groups for a total body workout. Participants work at their chosen level of resistance in an enjoyably relaxed group setting. These workouts are particularly popular with people who traditionally focus on cardio training but who want to make time for a fun, efficient strength workout.

 

SPINNING

This is offering high energy stationary bike workouts that enhance cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength. Spinning classes can be a great way to get in a vigorous workout -burning calories and keeping your muscles in shape.

 


SCULPT

This is an all-encompassing strength and toning workout that also combines balance and cardiovascular conditioning. Using body bars, hand weights and other resistance training equipment, it is designed to shape and tone the body without building muscular size or bulk. This muscle conditioning section will improve strength, muscle endurance, posture and body shape. Members at any fitness level can enroll

 


TRX CHALLENGE (Instructor: Evelyn)

Classes are a circuit workout that uses industrial-strength nylon suspension cables with handles, which originated from the U.S.A Navy Seals developed by Fitness Anywhere®. Using your own body weight as resistance, TRX allows you to perform hundreds of exercises, with intensity to match your fitness level. This class targets your entire body that builds power, strength, flexibility and mobility to help with day-to-day activities.

 


TRX POWERHOUSE (Instructor: Evelyn)

This is a powerful combination of TRX and Pilates thus the name Powerhouse (core). A constant demand of your core with Pilates principles in mind, working the intrinsic and global muscles simultaneously. Perfect for those who are looking for the grace and flow of Pilates and the challenge and burn of TRX. An absolute must try for those who would like to take their workout to the next level.

 


ZUMBA Fitness

Zumba involves dance elements such as hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, meringue, mambo, martial arts, and some Bollywood and belly dance moves. Zumba is an optimal fitness choice, mixing cardio intervals with resistance training. Zumba mixes effective body sculpting movements with easy-to-follow, fun dance steps.

 


MUAY THAI (Instructor: Cori)

This is designed for adults who want to learn this highly effective martial art as well as burn calories (up to 800 calories/hour). Muay Thai is also called the martial art of the eight weapons (two hands, two elbows, two knees and two chins). Students will learn how to throw punches, elbows, knees and kicks from every angle as well as defend from those attacks

 


PILOXING

This is a great way to build lean muscles and enjoy fun dance moves. It uniquely blends the power, speed, and agility of boxing with the targeted sculpting and flexibility of pilates. These techniques are also supplemented by toning the arms and maximizing cardiovascular health. Add to that some exhilarating dance moves and you have a muscle-toning workout that is guaranteed to leave you feeling physically and mentally empowered.

 


LADIES SWIM FOR FITNESS (Instructor: Edward)

This is a great way to keep in shape. Improve your stamina and swimming skills with tips and work outs from one of our Club Coaches. You will soon feel the benefits as your skills, efficiency and general fitness improves.
